Watercolor because of it’s fluid nature…pen & ink for it’s control. These two mediums combined give deliberate stroke and form to the composition compared to earlier abstract work. Looking back, these pieces represent the need to control more of the outcome. I searched to make things better in my personal life during this period. I suppose that is a balance… knowing when to let go and when to hold tight to the line.
